The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, Who art in Heaven. Hallowed be Thy name.

Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done in Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is The Kingdom, The Power, and The Glory forever and ever.

Amen!

This a model prayer first spoke by Jesus Christ. It is an example of how to pray, not to speak mechanically and repetitively.

1. Realize who God is and honor Him with worship.

2. Realize your will is to be His will.

3. Realize God is the source of all your needs.

4. Realize you cannot have Gods presence while harboring anger.

5. Realize God wants what is best for you and will give you all you need to live a healthy and prosperous life.

6. Realize God is the only Power and all Power comes from Heaven where God dwells and all glory belongs to God.

Our Father:

Jesus lays down the fact that God is the Father and we are the child, which makes us the children of God. This phrase definitely also states that God is not an angry tyrant but is a loving Father who wishes the best for us. God exist and is the Eternal, All-Powerful, All-Present loving Father of humankind. The statement, “Our Father,” also points out that there is no chosen race or superior group. It is our Father who art in Heaven, that is the Father and Creator of us all, whatever your belief, race, group, or organization. You may not believe this statement of Truth, but it does not change this Truth. We that have faith in Christ are of the same Body, The Body of Christ. So let go of all the man made prejudices that hold you down. The egotistical thinking of man created inequality and this thinking results in death. God’s right thinking or righteousness creates life and harmony. He is our Father and we are all equal in the eyes of God. We are His children and favors none.

KJV Genesis 1:26-28 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Who art in Heaven:

This saying is referring to the one and only God in Heaven, the Creator of the universe and everything in it. Heaven is also a religious term for the Presence of God. Heaven is where the source of all Power and Devine Wisdom comes from.

Hallowed be Thy name:

The name Hallowed, states the essential nature of God. In Old English hallowed means holy, wholesome, or healed. Therefore, the nature of God is to be perfect and good and He is the Holy One that heals us with the Truth. He cannot tell a lie, send sickness, trouble, or deceive anyone. God is Perfect Love and cannot do evil or even be in the presence of evil, nor can evil exist in the presence of God. Therefore, our will or thinking needs to be in line with Gods. When we are in agreement with God and obey His wishes, God draws closer to us. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you knowledge of Gods will. Pray for Devine Wisdom, Love, and prosperity in prayer always.

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, in Earth as it is in Heaven:

God conveys His will from Heaven to our hearts, (in Earth,) then though us, His will manifest outward into the world. God works His works from inside our earthy bodies, to the outside. From the within to the without God manifest Himself. When our hearts become one with God, it will change our surroundings and the people around us for the better. If we have goodness inside us we will bear good fruit, if we have evil in us we will bear evil fruit! We are claiming here that our will, will be His will.

When we hear something or see something that affects us deeply we tend to think this outside action changes us but actually, it is this outside action that brings to light what God has already put in our hearts. Our experience in life brings to light what is in our heart and this is a revelation from God! I have heard people say that by doing a good deed; they then started to think good thoughts or wanted to do good deeds. However, consciously or sub-consciously, you had to think first, that to do the good deed, would be a good idea before you did it. No action comes first with out thought. Out of the heart, (sub-conscious), so goes man.

(KJV)Proverbs 23:7 - For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

We act out of faith and right thinking. Works or actions do not give us faith but if we have real faith in God, this results in right thinking or righteousness, we will have good works. In other words, “I believe what God says is true so, I will do what is asked of me by Him. I will let God change my will or thinking until it is the same as His or in other words let God build in me a pure heart.” Jesus says, “Without love nothing we do is of any good.” If we love God, we then love to do His works, which bear good fruit and or good deeds. Therefore, we see first that our thinking is to be set right, before we can do good deeds. Love or compassion comes from developing right thinking or righteousness and we cannot do good deeds without God and His right thinking or righteousness. We must first think to obey God is a good thing and then take action on this thought. Every thought precedes an action whether it is sub-conscious or conscious. Therefore, when we had taken our first steps to follow God, God had already planted this thought to do what is right in our hearts or mind. Whether we realize it or not at the time, we were either, consciously or sub-consciously choosing to obey God.

God has a glorious purpose or plan for every man and woman. He has planned a fantastic life, full of interest and joy for you. If your life is boring, unrewarding, with no purpose, that is not Gods fault, it is yours. Our true place in life is to be where we can bring the Kingdom of God into manifestation. If we choose to use our will or thinking, which is usually in a negative way, this will result in sickness, poverty, sin, trouble, or death. This is the Truth of things and we cannot change this!

Give us this day our daily bread:

God is a loving Father and we are to expect that he will provide us with everything we need. If we immediately look to God to provide for our needs, we will find our needs met. It is Gods will that we have what we need for a healthy, happy, and joyous life. This can be food, clothing, transportation, education, money, shelter, or freedom. This is our daily bread. We need to believe and understand that God alone is the source of all our needs for living and doing His will. We are to be concerned only with this day we are living in now. We pray for, “this day our daily bread.” We are not to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. We are to believe that God is working in us and through us providing all we need to manifest His work. This includes keeping us healthy, spiritually, mentally, and physically. We are to claim the presence of God in our life and to declare that God is helping us in all that we do. The act of eating food is a necessary thing we must do for ourselves. No one else can do this particular act for us. Only we can believe in God and no one can believe for us. We must believe God is with us always and is our only provider for all things.

Forgive us our Trespasses, as we forgive them that Trespass against us:

We cannot harbor resentments towards any person, place, or thing. As long as we have resentments and anger, Gods power and presence will elude us. As we read this segment of the prayer, there is no escape from this the fact. We must positively extend forgiveness to everyone no matter the circumstance. Jesus leaves no room for ignoring or trying to read some other message into this statement. Our own forgiveness depends on the absolute forgiving of others, no matter what! To have prosperity in prayer and life we have to forgive all things

Matthew 6; 14-15 - For if you forgive others for their transgressions,  your heavenly Father will also forgive you; But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

To receive forgiveness and not forgive others is rebellion, selfishness, and against the Devine law of God. When we forgive others, we set them free and then we are free. The Truth will set you free!

Lead us not into Temptation, but deliver us from evil:

God is not suppose to harm us or temp us but this is not what this means. To progress spiritually we have to pass through tribulations and temptations. The more we pray the more sensitive we become. The more sensitive and spiritual we become, the more effective are our prayers. We also become more susceptible to certain temptations as we grow spiritually. The more spiritual you are, the more you will notice faults and transgressions others would not. As you attain higher spiritual levels, the accountability for your actions and thoughts rises. As our spirituality grows, powerful and new temptations will beseech us. We have to watch for spiritual pride, self-glory, and all sorts of other temptations we were not aware of before. We must continually pray for removal of spiritual pride and selfishness and pray for Devine Wisdom and Love. Staying humble is the key to spiritual growth. Pray that you may not have to encounter anything that is too much for you at the present level of your understanding. As we progress, we will encounter new and different temptations. If we pray daily for wisdom, purity, and guidance from the Holy Spirit, we will never find ourselves without the wisdom and tools we need for dealing with troubles or any situation.

The last part is not in the original prayer, it was added as and ending and to praise God and glorify Him and to confirm our belief in Him and His Power.

“May we all prosper in our prayers with guidance from the Holy Spirit. Break our outer person in anyway, you see necessary Lord Jesus. May I always understand what you are trying to tell me through the Holy Spirit. Show me the Truth of all things Lord and May I always do Thy will; And Glory to You my Father in Heaven, and thank You for all that You do and thank You for the things that You do I don’t even know about. Love You God and I Love Your Son dearly also.”
